I don't often find a beer I don't like. This is one of them. It doesn't taste like a lager and it doesn't taste good at all either. The flavor is more like a pilsner crossed with an IPA. What's perplexing is how they made it taste bad. It's like there's a drop of skunk juice in there. I can drink Rainier or Miller High Life or even Budweiser but not this stuff.

16 oz can- Pours lightly hazy golden with a medium white head that reduces leaving a blanket. Aroma is sweet, light spicy hops, pretty subdued. The taste is sweet, vomit, off, i like the dry finish, not much else.

Draft at Fort Street Station. I'll be up front, I like this, a lot. I see some of the other reviews, but I think it's pretty all right. But I like lagers. Clear, bright golden, small fading head. Faint grainy aroma, corn , sweet. Taste is the same, no vegetal notes, clean and bready. Absolutely delicious.

This is not a good lager, it is hazy, citrusy, creamed corn even, it neither excells in malt nor hops, it is a bit watery. In Bavaria and Austria the smallest brewpubs and biggest industries brew better lagers.

Man, who cares?
If you're going to go to the effort of brewing and canning a lager, why wouldn't you try & make it taste differently - as in, like anything - than Coor's.
Stick with your Session Lager, boys.

Clear pale gold with one finger of two minute white head. No lace.
Smell is grain yeast corn chips and some grassy hops.
Taste is grains corn chips bread crust malt and some grassy hops bring up the rear.
Mouthfeel is medium with alright carbonation. Finish is moderately sweet.
Overall I wonder why Hop Valley wanted to brew a beer that is not any better than a macro beer?

Can from TJ's.
Pours a clear light yellow with a dense, off-white head with good retention and lacing, this looks solid. The nose is decent. Clean, refreshing, mildly grainy, mildly citrusy (and i mean MILDLY), this is clean and inoffensive on the nose. The palate opens mildly rice-like and grainy with a light lemon character. Drying and clean on the finish, this is inoffensive and refreshing and would actually hit the spot on a really hot and humid day. Decent.

L) Pours brilliantly clear with a heavy gold hue. A fluffy 1 finger head rises to the top of the glass and slowly subsides leaving a touch of lacing on the glass and the top of the beer. Pretty nice.
S) Pretty subdued, some bread, caramel, maybe a touch of earth
T) Caramel, some pear/fruity esters, a nice toasty bread flavors, a bit of "adjunct" flavor from the rice. A bit of bitterness to round things out at the end. Pretty solid.
F) Dry, fairly clean, not overly thin, a bit prickly from the carbonation. A good, drinkable beer.
O) A solid lager beer, although I would have preferred something with a bit more hop presence considering it's coming from Hop Valley. Should be a nice, quaff-able brew for this summer.

Can. Poured light and fizzy. A really bland aroma. Light lager yeast. A bit too sweet. Flavor is a bit adjunct and pale malt with some yeastiness. Very light bodied. Sorta bland and boring. I shouldn't have expected much else, though.
