Slightly hazed red amber with one fat finger of bone color head. Rings of lace.
A touch of pine with caramel malt.
Taste in piney floral hops with minimal caramel malt backing.
Mouthfeel is medium with good carbonation. The finish is dry and bitter.
The can says 80 IBUs with 6% abv. So the hops dominate for sure. If you think most red ales are too sweet and you love big hops this is for you. And yes I did enjoy it.

On tap at the brewpub in Eugene, Oregon.
Red-copper colored body with a good head that leaves some lacing.
Caramel malts hold their own with the hops in the nose.
Hops clearly dominate the flavor, at least in terms of bitterness: this is at least moderately bitter. Grapefruit peel and earthy tones.
Smooth, medium body and near medium carbonation.
