Hop Valley brews some really good beers even though they are owned by InBev or were owned by them. This was a strong beer that didn't have a strong alcohol taste but everything else was excellent. Had this beer more than once over time.

A couple of 22oz bottles picked up at Total Wine in Lynnwood, Washington.
BBD is MAY 31 2020. Poured in to a pint glass.

Look- Clear darker amber color, large off-white/cream colored head that recedes slowly to a solid cap of foam, moderate lacing. Moderate carbonation streaming as it sits.

Smell- Citrus (orange/tangerine and lemon), tropical fruit (pineapple, papaya and mango), peach, a bit of weed/dank melon, caramel malt, resinous pine and spicy/herbal notes.

Taste- Follows the nose well, citrus fruits and tropical fruit, melon, peach and pine with a sweetish malt backbone.

Feel- Medium bodied, crisp with a lingering moderately bitter finish, alcohol is noticeable, pretty nicely balanced. Moderate carbonation on the tongue.

O- A solid PacNW IPA and a pretty good deal at $5 a 22oz. Worth checking out.

Pours the typical brown/orange colour. Its clear and has a really nice thick frothy off white head.
Nice spicy/fruity aromas..papaya, mango, lemon and orange skin.Bit of dank.
Surprisingly bitter compared to the aroma..but its still there in the background..now the caramel malts show also.
Nice mouth feel..long lasting bitter after taste.
Good beer.

Clean, massively fruity, and strong enough to deliver the warhead to the brain. It's more like a chemical reaction than a beer. I wish I had a big jug of malt liquor handy, the Alpha Millennium would make an ideal Depth Charge.

Mango and pine aroma. Fruit is something like canned pineapple with endless grapefruit pith. Very bitter with an insinuating herbal aftertaste. Clear golden amber color is quite attractive. From the 22 oz bottle purchased from Haggen market in Washington.

Very much enjoyed this one. Very hop forward smell, grassy and great taste and backend feel. this one really hit the spot after a couple weeks in a part of the country that does not understand craft brew. This one made me feel back at home!

Slightly hazed gold color with three fingers of cream color head. Head drops in about ten minutes leaving a curtain of lace.
Smell is big fruity hops with some malts.
Taste is liquid pine cones. Hop resin is foremost. Malt is well shaded.
Mouthfeel is medium and well carbonated. Finish is dry and bitter.
Overall a big hop forward beer. Alcohol is well hidden. For bitter IPA lovers. Worth a try.

Hop Valley erred on the side of bitterness with this imperial brew, and boy, did they err. The over-the-top bitterness is what struck me on the 1st sip. It blankets the tongue and never leaves. It's really too much. At over 9% alcohol, I'm sure I'll care less and less as I get through this 22 oz. bomber. But I won't buy another. Bit-ter!
