this is really cheap and bad. i had hopes that this might be a crisp and full flavored ripper to go along with all the hoppy stuff in their lineup, they seem due for something like that, but this certainly isnt it. this tastes like metal and plastic, more like can and can liner than beer, although there is some lager yeast evident in here. its immediately cheap to me, thin and without any real grain character, it seems adjuncty, debased, and surprisingly for hop valley, without much of a contribution from the hops. its watery in feel but does have some carbonation, its dry but has a gross aftertaste, and overall i am woefully disappointed in this, like, would it really be that much harder or more expensive to make this taste like a half decent lager? it seems like not, this is below mid grade macro lager quality to me, not even trying to be crafty, nothing artistic about this, and if somebody somewhere was ever passionate about making or drinking this, i feel sorry for them. hop valley can do a lot better, and they should have. this is appalling.

Currently drinking a 16oz can. A nice clear pale yellow. Smell is malty with a touch of hops. Taste is mild breadiness with the slightest amount of hop character. Overall it's like better Miller High Life which is easily my favorite macro lager. Would definitely buy this again and again for an easy all day lager.

Clear pale gold with two fingers of white head. Spots of lace appear as the head drops.
Smell is mild malts with a touch of grassy hops.
Taste is grainy malts with herbal grassy hops.
Mouthfeel is light with good carbonation. Finish is lightly dry and balanced. Best by date on the bottom of the can is Nov. 20, 2020.
