Skunky hoppy pilsner, nothing to right home about but sure tastes good on warm sunny day in Portland. 3.5/5

Pours two fingers of head on a clear light straw colored body.
The aroma is non-existent. Maybe a little grain.
The taste starts out with some mild honey sweetness, then gets that dry pine and lemon bitterness that lasts through to the finish. It has a long dry bitter finish.
The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation.
The taste profile was pretty good, but the aroma was completely lacking.

Pours a plain yellow in the tall cider glass with a nice cap of foam. Sparkly mouthfeel and very light body. The distinctive feature is the perfumey and pervasive hoppiness. This is flowery to start with a modest malty taste, but then the hops take over and are bitter to a surprising degree. There is something slightly soapy about the taste.
Tart, sharp, and perfumed with flowery hops. Overall, it's a different kind of lager. The hoppy nose-filling aromatics and the intense bitter burn are very bold, especially with the lack of malt flavors. You wouldn't call it refined or subtle. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Market of Choice on 29th in Eugene.

22oz bottle from"Lifesource" in Salem. $3.99 Poured into my Freiburger Pilsner glass. Typical sunshine yellow beer with a large bubbly/frothy almost pure white head. Not much aroma to my surprise..maybe a touch of biscuity malt and a very small grassy hop. Taste has more hop but its mainly lemon zest and floral in aspect..after taste is grassy..malts are mild and bready. Mouthfeel is OK for style right on. Its a good lager but for me not a Czech Pilsner...same as the vast majority of PNW beers masquerading as this..its a very good lager nothing more..sorry.
Maybe bottle wasn't fresh?
