This American-style IPA features loads of Centennial, Northern Brewer, and Ahtanum hops added late in the boil to bring out the juicy citrus flavors and piney floral aromas. Bitterness from the Warrior hop addition is balanced by the use of sweet honey malt.

The Brewery at Hershey has been CANning a number of their beers, but their distribution is limited as is some of their runs. It is for this reason that I try to glom onto them as soon as they become available. Hip Hops Hooray for The CANQuest (tm)!
From the CAN: "Store Cold*Drink Fresh*Please Recycle"; "This IPA features loads of American hops added late in the boil to bring out juicy citrus flavors and piney floral aromas."
I Crack!ed the vent on the CAN & CANmenced a slow, gentle Glug into the awaiting glass. Unbidden, it formed a finger of foamy, rocky, tawny head with mild retention that left some nice lacing in its wake. Color was solid Amber (SRM = > 7, < 9) with NE-quality clarity. Nose smelled like honeysuckle and pine cones. Interesting. Mouthfeel was medium. The taste was a little too bitter, kind of unbalanced, with a lot of grapefruit flavor that was barely offset by the honey malt. It was not bad, per se, but it just needed a bit more balance to increase its drinkability. Finish was dry and bitter, but in this case, it was not totally a good thing. I'd like to see them tweak the recipe just slightly. YMMV.

Very "easy" IPA, definitely not a "hop bomb". I could see myself drinking a few of these in the backyard during the Summer.

Dark golden color with a calm appearance. Small head.
Smells of sweet summery citrus. Spring-flowers, strawberries and pears. Fantastic smell. Smells like a delicous cider, but with just a slight bitter undertone.
Taste is akin to the smell. Very sweet, slightly bitter, with a lot of summery fruits. This is an excellent IPA.Not something for hop-heads, but pretty damn excellent. I consider this a subtle gem in the PA beerscene.
