Thanks Mike for sharing this with us. Bomber poured into a snifter appears black in color with a khaki head that is quick to fade leaving stringy lace on the glass.
The nose has a pleasant hint of coffee, chocolate, oak and earth with something medicinal and metallic across the back.
The taste is green bell pepper, oak, earth and something along the lines of turpentine or solvent mineral-like chemical note. A bitter earthen finish along with something that just feels very weird in the aftertaste.
This is medium in body with modest carbination. There is a very drying tannic or astringent thing going on in this that is not good at all. For less than 6% abv, it numbs your tongue with a chemical sorta feel that is not good. Something might be wrong here. A friend who never drainpours beer was quick to throw his pour out. I finished my glass but it took some effort.

For a Bourbon Barrel Aged Stout it was kind of on the low side for ABV. Very little hints of Oatmeal, if any but a strong coffee taste that sat on the back of your palate. No hints of bourbon and overall it seemed like a watered down stout.
