A thanks goes out to the man who added this beer, woodychandler, for this beer. Poured from a 12 oz. can. Despite zero agitation, this beer came racing out of the can, resulting in a cloudy golden color and a couple of paper towels worth of mess. Smell is of lemons, spices, coriander stands out. Taste is lemons, oranges, spices, that same unusual aftertaste I detected in this breweries Pale Ale. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a pretty good beer, but nothing special.

It gives me great pleasure to add a beer; take, submit & have a picture approved and be the first to review it. This is just one of four new beers recently being CANned by The Brewery at Hershey and all of them will become a part of The CANQuest ™.

From the CAN: “Store Cold*Drink Fresh*Please Recycle”; “Spiced with Coriander, Orange Zest, & Chamomile”.

The Crack! revealed a brimful craft CAN, but since it was a Witbier & cloudiness is a paramount CANsideration in the style, I went with an inverted Glug. This raised, unbidden, a two-finger cap of foamy, fizzy, eggshell-white head that slowly dissipated into wisps. Color was a cloudy Golden-Amber (SRM = > 5, < 7). Nose was redolent with orange and coriander. It really says something that I am now able to readily identify each of those adjuncts. Mouthfeel was barely medium. The taste was more spicy than citrusy and I am not sure what the chamomile added to the equation. It was okay, but I have had better Witbiers, including a famous commercial example. It just lacked a certain je ne sais quoi and did not captivate me throughout. Finish was dry, as any beer that includes spice(s) as an adjunct/adjuncts should be expected to be. YMMV.
