Creamy Nut Brown - Rye Whiskey Barrel Aged

I am trying this beer off the tapper at the brewery as part of a six sample flight. It poured a rich dark amber, nearly opaque. It had a thin off white ring head that did not leave much lace. The scent had subtle malt with whiskey highlights. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink. There was rye whiskey flavor through the drink which masked the sweet malt base. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it was a good beer.
