Poured on tap at the brewery into a sampler glass. Listed as Oktoberfest made in December and the abv and ibus are identical so I think it's fair to say it's the same beer. From notes.
No collar presented, but a deep copper brown body that is very nice looking.
Nice clove notes on the aroma. with some soft caramel and some herbal spice. A bit downplayed though.
The palate delivers some mild caramel like action and some sticky lager yeast. Clean finish a bit too clean with not much malt depth coming off with a little bit of herbal hop bent. The palate crispness is surprising but detracts from malt thickness that I am expecting.
Overall a passable and ok Marzen.
