A deep red complex beer made with seven malts and seven hops has been aged in an island whisky cask. This has delivered a smoked wood finish to the beer.

August 2014: Shared 330 ml bottle at local tasting, ABV is 7.1%. Fairly dark reddish brown colour, low off-white head. Fairly strong aroma av peat smoke and tar, some sweetish vinous notes in the background. The flavour is first medium sweet, and ends dry and ashy. Strong notes of peat smoke throughout.
