Look: Pours dark brown opaque with a one finger whitish beige head. Head disappears quickly leaving light lacing at 5 minutes.
Smell: Lightly cocoa with hints of grass and black liqorice.
Taste: Very lightly flavoured on the front end. More dry irish type stout than the chocolate bomb the name had me expecting. Mineral water sparkiness, with an interesting black licorice aftertaste. Some slight peat smoke hints present on the back end as well.
Feel: Light to medium body, tending closer to light. Lightly carbonated with a dry finish.
This is billed as a double chocolate milkshake porter. It's not very chocolaty. It's light bodied and dry like an irish type stout. Very interesting black licorice notes. I give it a B.
