A clean, crisp, sessionable craft ale. Sultana Gold is naturally carbonated using an old world brewing technique called Kräusening. Named after a legendary local Gold Mine, Sultana contains malted wheat, pilsner and pale malts. Hop flavour is low to moderate. A remarkably tasty Northern brew.

At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, 473mL in a pint glass. From my favourite LCBO at Tecumseh Mall in nearby Windsor. Canned November 30/24. My 5th beer from the Kenora, Ontario brewery, and for 2025. Adamantly recommended by Gracie the cat...

I got a tall boy can of this beer from The Beer Store in Fort Frances, Ontario whilst there for my son's hockey showcase. It poured a clear golden with fizzy white head that dissipated quickly and did not leave much lace. The scent had subtle grain and cracker notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with crisp malt base with grain and biscuit presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

16oz can. Can bottom is stamped 'CANNED ON 01/06/21'. Labeled as from the brewery located in Warroad MN, but I see that brewery's listing has been closed.
A little cloudy, pale gold colored body. Thin, tight white bubble head sticks around. Leaves some streaks of lacing.
Aroma has a touch of lemon and berry along with the bready malt.
Taste continues with the lemon and berry flavors, along with the lightly toasted malt. Dry in the aftertaste.
Medium mouth feel. Very good carbonation.
Easy drinking ale, with quick hit of lemon and berry flavors. Okay for a session selection.

can - pours a lightly hazed pale gold with a small white cap that laces the glass....aroma is mild with light biscuit malts and dusty wheat, some grassiness....has a spritzy dry rounded character...flavor is mild with wheat and pilsner malts in front then a peppery feel from the carbonation and hops working in tandem...clean dry finish...hard to tell if this is a zwickelbier or an ale....in any event it's a good patio quaffer on a hot day

Pours a clear golden color. 2 finger white head. Retention is decent. Nice carbonation bubbles rising in the glass.
The nose is a malty, almost wheat aroma.
Taste there's a sweet malt base. Fairy pleasing flavor.
The body is lighter as expected for the style.
Easy drinking beer on a hot day.

473mL can, date stamped 07/05/2018. Thanks to my cousin, Kris, for bringing some Canadian craft beer for me to try. Golden hued ale with a foamy white head. Aroma is grain, grassy & earthy hops, and a hint of very light caramel or toast. Very lightly toasted, nutty grain with the grassy and earthy hops for flavor. Creamy and smooth, well balanced, modest bitter finish with a tingle on the tongue. Overall, an easy drinking and well made golden ale, but it's nothing to go out of your way for.

Pre-filled growler into a pint glass. Bought this mostly because the growler looked cool and I wanted to send a message that even at an out of the way rural general store, craft beer sells. Poured the crisp clear golden of a lager from one of the big boys. The nose, taste, feel, the whole thing was sadly not much more than a mass-produced lager. Actually, compared to the choices of C-M-B (or in Canada, Molsen, Sleeman, Keith), I'd pick this - but if there were almost any other craft choices....
