This brew is crisp, dry and moderately bitter with a light malt backbone. Hop character is intense, hitting high notes of pine, citrus, tropical fruit and danky dank.
Hops: Simcoe, Citra, Amarillo, Eureka!

The beer pours a clear yellow color with a medium head. The taste is like a hazy with its very prominent citrus flavor of cantaloupe, peach and watermelon. The beer to me is not as good as
Von Eberts Volatile, Block 15’s fresh Flow, or Silver Falls Haze Ghost beers. It’s a very good brew but just not the best beers out there after I just had the last 3 beers named which were much better. I know many feel Sunriver is the top dog in beers but check out this list of three brews and you will be delighted.

Pint at Westside Taphouse in West Salem OR.
$6.00
Pours a nice bright, clear golden colored body. Small frothy white head.
Nice floral hop aromas..with some minor pine in the back
Taste is floral and fruity. Getting strawberry, guava and a smidgen of spruce/pine.
Really nice mouth feel. Medium body and medium carbonation. No sticky residue.
Another winner from Sunriver.

a really nice clean and robust ipa here, they did a great job with this, and it ranks among my favorites of their beers i have had so far, and really something i have been missing from the ipa style of late, as the hazy and juicy beers take over the genre almost entirely. this, for one, is clear and bright in the glass, white headed and radiant looking, lively and pure or something, real pretty with just a little crystal malt color to it. aroma is neat, the hop profile is distinct, some eureka hops in here, which i am not real familiar with, but the make this rather unique. the simcoe is the most obvious, piney, fresh, resinous, and plays well with the citra and amarillo that are also in here. the taste has elements of bitter orange, spruce tree, pineapple, weed, and pine sap, incredibly fresh and with just enough malt balance to it with almost no sweetness at all either. very bright and clean, almost refreshing feel and taste, high carbonation, and some minerals with the bitterness at the end. more and more intense as it warms, but i dont let it sit in my glass long. this is delicious, flavorful, true to style west coast ipa with a little bit of a unique hop thing going on from the eureka. i really dig this!
edit: marginally less impressive the second time around, more stone fruit to me now, navel orange, and indeed some grain, all in concert very effectively, but maybe less striking than it hit me the first time, still, a really solid take on the style, drinkable for days, and of real fine quality. leaving original scores in place, such good hoppy beer from sunriver pretty much across the board!
