It takes a special beer to celebrate nine years of Sunriver Brewing Company and this hazy double IPA hit the mark. Pale, wheat, and oat malts provide a sweet foundation for this hop monster. A whopping 8lbs per barrel of hops generate flavors of mango nectar, fresh squeezed grapefruit juice, pink lemonade, and coconut cream pie. Hops: Citra, Citra Cryo, Amarillo Cryo, Sabro, Sultana and HBC586.

Nice tropical hop flavor, slightly sweet with a slight hop taste. This is one great beer, but at 9 ABV it is dangerous, because it tastes so good and no noticeable taste of alcohol. It has a greenish/golden color which is a little odd. Aroma is tropical a very appealing. Ben's Bottle Shop. Rated 8-7-2021

this is really super modern for a brewery i tend to associate with more classically styled ipa types, hazy and strong, dry hoppy and not bitter, fresh as can be, i was stoked to find this one on tap and have been digging all of their new stuff this summer! this looks a little milky and muted from the tap, almost slightly green tinted through the haze, dense, but with a short and lasting white head on it and lots of bubbles keeping it moving on the palate. the nose is excellent, a big mix of hops it seems, pineapple and kiwi fruit and heady weed jump out at me, some light strawberry too, lemongrass, and lemon, all really fresh and appealing, minimally green, just a little of that as it sits. the flavor isnt quite as dynamic as the nose, weighed down a little by the grain, which is wheaty and full, not flavorful, and not sweet, but beefy in terms of texture for sure, more than is necessary even at this higher abv. speaking of which, the alcohol is exposed here, its warm the whole way, and even a little distracting at temperature, they might have benefitted from knocking some malt out and keeping this in the 8% abv range, but the hops certainly rule in here, so take the good with the less good i guess. its a creamy textured beer, which plays well with the tropical notes, i get some coconut now, green apple, papaya, and honey. it finishes sweet and boozy after its been sitting a minute, but the hops are wonderfully fresh and rather distinctive, id love to know what they use in here, definitely a mix of varietals, and definitely something unconventional in the blend! love it.

Hazy double IPA - fruity and hoppy with some pronounced sweetness and a touch of booze. Would have liked (slightly) less booze and sweetness but this is right up my alley for a DIPA.
