The beer pours a blackish brown color with good head retention and lacing. On the nose, there's a lot going on in this beer. I'm getting coffee grounds, vanilla, a hint of bourbon and some light dark fruit. The flavor profile replicates the nose pretty closely in this rich, moderately sweet impy stout. Monthfeel is pretty full, with a smooth, fairly long finish. Alcohol is very well integrated into the flavor profile, and despite the fairly high abv, this is a pretty drinkable ba stout.
Nice beer. One of the better, more impressive efforts I've had from Sunriver.
