This masterful blend of 12-month bourbon barrel aged imperial stout is infused with the flavors of chocolate ice cream, gooey marshmallow swirls, caramel, and fudge fish. Bottle poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery snifter

A: Pours basically black with a frothy cocoa brown head that settles to a thin layer and leaves a little spotty lacing.

S: Milk chocolate, roasty malt, mild char, smooth bourbon, spice, vanilla, brown sugar, and toffee sweetness.

T: Roasty, milk chocolate, vanilla, mild char, smooth bourbon, a touch of spice, more rich chocolate, burnt sugar, caramel, and toffee sweetness.

M: On the fuller side of medium body, moderate carbonation, creamy, mild alcohol warmth.

O: Exactly what you'd want from a good barrel aged stout with some nice extra chocolate and vanilla depth.

500ml (or so?) bottle split into snifters. Dark brown pour, fizzy with almost no head. Nose has some refined sweetness to it for sure, notes of bourbon-y caramel, chocolate syrup, etc, More root-beer and cola-like on the palate, with that caramel moving into sarsaparilla territory, spritzy with impressions of mocha and dark fruits as well. Decent enough...there are a lot of these types of stouts out there now, and while this one doesn't strike me as that special, its is just fine.
