Look: Burnt orange with a sudsy head that blooms and settles to a lid, leaving webs of lacing behind
Aroma: I could smell it on the pour. Tangerine flesh and zest, navel orange, cara cara orange, some Cannabis, candied orange, strawberries, wet/fresh hops, resinous fir, and kumquats
Taste: Oh baby, here we go. The first hit is straight-up like chewing on fresh hop cones – resinous, oily, and sharp – before being joined by waves of fresh, pithy, and juicy citrus. Orange, tangerines, and kumquat all there as is a nice layer of dank and crushed fir needles, which hold as berry notes swirl around as well. Closes with dank, citrus, fresh hops, and berries, along with a nice bite
Mouthfeel: Full, slick, medium-high carbonation, and lightly dry on the finish
Overall: This is an outstanding beer. Rippin in my favorite Sunriver brew and given these folks’ skill with hops, it was a treat when my dad gifted me a can he got from the brewery as I figured I wouldn’t see it locally. It’s like regular Rippin on steroids and the fresh hop character is immense, dialed in, and prolific throughout. What more can I say, this is a top-tier fresh hop beer and glad I had the chance to try it. Get it if you can

SUNRIVER BREWERY - FRESH HOP RIPPIN
At first sip a smell of wet grass with flavor of pineapple rind star fruit with the more you drink flavors of peach and apricot skin come thru. This is some tasty brew and one you should try as I highly recommend it. I bought it at the Sunriver brewery.

Draft at Sunriver pub. Bright golden pour, thin, creamy head, solid lacing. Light citrusy aroma, tangerine. Taste is fruity malty, light citrus, chewy mouth feel.

2023 version with fresh Amarillo.
Clear orange with a dense white head with good retention and lacing. The nose is dank fresh Amarillo, with diesel, citrus, dank, grapefruit zest, orange zest and some pine. The palate land more heavily on the citrus notes, with grapefruit, mandarin, tangerine, followed by the notes of diesel and mild cattiness. Drying, fruity, snappy, with lovely FH character. Tasty!
