Old World meets New World with this contemporary American pilsner. Idaho grown pilsner malt combines with toasted flaked rice to create a mildly sweet note in this golden hued lager. A blend of Czech Saaz and hand selected PNW grown Mt. Hood and Mosaic brings the hoppy spice and bit of dankenberry punch. The finished beer is light and bright with a hint of adjunct and complimentary hop profile.

Look: Slightly opaque light yellow with a luscious white head that swells and slowly settles to a pillow, leaving a ton of lacing clung to the rim
Aroma: Ruby-red grapefruit, lemons, tangelos, wafts of blueberries, cut grass, floral notes, some dank, and soda crackers
Taste: Opens up with a subtle hit of Cannabis that quickly builds up strength before sharp lemon, lemon zest, and grapefruit cut in, dominate, and begin to develop depth. Grassy notes and blueberries are joined by an ever-growing swath of flowery goodness in the middle before the light cracker-led pilsner malt shows up on the close
Mouthfeel: Full but light, clean, medium-high carbonation, and crisp and clean on the finish
Overall: This is some good stuff. This is an interesting and tasty take on a classic Pilsner with both new-school and old-school American hops and it provides a great canvas for the hops to shine, plus comes together nicely without clashing. Citrus, dank, berries, lemons, and floral aromas/flavors are on full display throughout and on a nice Pilsner base. Tasty and recommended

SUNRIVER BREWERY - Forward Progress – American Pilsner - 5.5 abv
I bought at Brewery in Sunriver. They gave me a taste and I bought a 4 pack of beer to go. The beer is light yellow in color with a low head. The smell is of Fruit melon, grape skin, and pineapple skin tanins balancing the fruit with low acid. Its easy drinking and balance of fruit and hops creates a smooth balanced beer. Made with Idaho pilsners,, flaked rice and Czech, Saaz, Mt. hood, and Mosaic hops. I highly recommend this beer.
