Look: Pale yellow in color and cloudy with a luscious white head that settles to a lid and leaves great lacing behind

Aroma: Skunky Cannabis, fruity dank, white table grapes, nectarine, pine sap, navel orange, wafts of pineapple, and bready malt

Taste: Opens up with a rush of resinous pine and quickly followed by some skunky and diesel-heavy Cannabis. Nectarine, pineapple, and white grapes come next and intermingle well, while the malt tried to keep this is APA territory, but fails in a great way, and closes with a nice bite

Mouthfeel: Full, lightly slick, medium-high carbonation, and moderately dry on the finish

Overall: This is some good stuff. Another winner from these folks and a nice pale ale compliment to Rippin, which I dig a lot. The Nelson and Nectaron hops come through nicely but like Rippin, this blurs the line between Pale Ale and IPA with its strong hop presence, bite, and dry finish. Recommended

SUNRIVER BREWERY – VENTURE PALE ALE 5.5 abv pg31
Sunriver is known for their IPA’s and Hazys so a Pale Ale is unusual for them.
This is a light golden pale with a pineapple, kiwi, brook plum flavor.
Hops used are Nelson Sauvin and Nectar both New Zealand hops.
I think it’s a tasty brew and I recommend.

Pint at the Westside Taphouse in West Salem Oregon.
$7.00.
A New Zealand style Pale Ale.
Pours a nice clear, deepish golden body. Not much of a head.
Aroma of grape, wine like fruity NZ hops. Light malts.
Taste has those sweet NZ hops..but somewhat balanced with more robust hops..light malts again.
Great easy mouth feel.
This is a lovely showcase for NZ hops without going over the top like many breweries.
