Look: Yellow and slightly cloudy with a sudsy white head that slowly settles to a lid, leaving nice lacing behind
Aroma: Pine sap, white grapefruit flesh and rind, fir needles, pithy orange, some light onion, diesel-led Cannabis, and lemon zest
Taste: Opens with resinous pine and fir that hit quick and followed by layers of sharp and pithy citrus fruit that creep in and join. The citrus component continues as some diesel and onion weave in and out before closing with more sappy conifer and a nice bite
Mouthfeel: Full, lightly slick, medium-high carbonation, and moderately dry on the finish
Overall: This is some tasty stuff. Another winner in this series and one of my final fresh hop beers of the season, but one I couldn’t pass up when I saw Sunriver and Simcoe. Plenty of fresh Simcoe in this and showcased quite well throughout. Delicious, well-made, and recommended

Here is fresh hop beer made from Simcoe. It’s a big wonderful hoppy fresh beer with the fruitiness and tannins to make any IPA fan happy. I had pint at brewery and people on both sides of me sampled the brew and then got a pint exclaiming its really tasty. The taste is unlike any other beers I have ever tried so those who enjoy a new taste will like me be a happy beer drinker. I wish it was available in a can to share but almost all fresh hop beers made at Sunriver are not canned since they sell out too fast to bother.

Clear amber brew with abundant foam. Something herbal in the nose. Prickly and slushy mouthfeel. There's a touch of malt and a slight sweetness to start. Rather spicy. Overall the taste is resiny and gradually bitter in the aftertaste. Tangy and dank and peppery. I'm not sure this is such a good advertisement for fresh hop season. From the 16 oz can purchased at Fort George restaurant in Astoria. Dated 9/19/24.
