Poured a very nice amber color, promising a reasonable level of malts in this winter warmer. The head was about a finger deep and dissipated quickly.
The nose was bready with either cinnamon or clove or perhaps both, appropriate for the season I suppose, but personally I've not found a beer with cinnamon that I would buy more than once. So the taste-
Pretty much follows the nose, with the burn from the spices building with each sip. Still not a fan, but fortunately the malts remain dominate until the end.
Feel - well, the deep amber color promised a viscosity that the feel couldn't quite deliver. But this had the affect of making it more drinkable, or slamable if one is thirsty - and for its abv of 7.1, a bit more viscosity might be good.
OA- They are my local brewery so I will buy at least one of these a year - but as they have so many that I prefer, I'll spend most of my time on those.
Now if you are a fan of cinnamon in beer, I heartedly recommend it. If not, drink it anyway, tis the season for winter warmers.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
