Brewed with home brewer, Chris Baar. His beer, inspired by the book Journey to the Center of the Earth, was a branch winner. Fruity esters from the English yeast strain dominated up front followed by a malty finish.

Poured stout black with a light brown head which dissipated fairly quickly.
The aroma was lost on my Covid damaged nose.
The flavor is very nice for a stout, somewhat sweet, and definitely no bitterness at all. It’s almost too sweet, it makes it seem less like a foreign export than a regular stout.
The feel is very good for the style, no complaints there.
OA, good stout, but not a great foreign export stout.
