Dark, malty ale with a medium body. Its toasty caramel notes dance with just a hint of hop bitterness, creating a woodsy flavor adventure.

Poured darker than their "normal" brown ale, with a light brown head that left reasonable lacing.
The taste started out like a good brown ale, toasty, lightly sweet, warming, and then the hops kick in just as the caramel notes start to come to the fore. I think I drank 3/4 of the pint just trying to figure out what I was tasting.
The feel was thinner than expected from the write-up on the board, small quibble but the brewery description should be accurate, no?
OA, I enjoyed this quite a bit but definitely prefer the OG brown ale that they have. That said, if you like a touch of hops in your brown ale, you might really dig this!
