This Belgian Abbey- Style Ale is up there with the best of em. Using an authentic Trappist Yeast and adding Belgian Candi Sugar and Dried Currants to the boil, rich flavors of plum, raisins, and caramel prevail. We hope you enjoy this award winning beer.

This is a dangerously drinkable Belgian style Dubbel. Starts out with a sweet impression. Rich malty backbone. Gives notes of candy apples, plums and dark fruits. Restrained bitterness. Medium bodied. Semi dry finish. Very nice Dubbel.

On tap in Georgia.
A well crafted dubbel that is on par with a good Belgian.
Lacks the overly fruity or off tastes I sometimes find in the aftertaste of dubbels.

Appearance: Presents a delicately hazed, amber-tan body in color, with a slim, white head.
Smell: A scent of bready malts, a bit toasty, too, affixed to notes of cooked sugars, dried fruits, light spice, and soft alcohol wafts.
Taste: Bready malts, with a slight toasted grain quality to it. Taste of dark sugars, fairly sweet. The tangy currants are noted, playing alongside the yeast esters and alcohol, with additional hints of raisin and banana. Spicy phenolics giving a bit of green peppercorn. Minimal hop character and bitterness. Semi-dry, spicy, lightly warming finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Overall: Falls middle-of-the-road for me.

A - Rich caramel color with a large, creamy tan head
S - Strong alcoholic dark chocolate smell dominates but leaves a caramel aroma as you pull the glass away
T - Similar flavor as it's smell. Starts of with a malty dark chocolate that is soon overpowered by a very sweet raisin/plum flavor. The candi sugar is definitely present, and overpowers any hoppy bitterness.
M - Medium bodied with a medium carbonation that finishes smooth and warms you up inside as it goes down.
O - This beer almost intimidates you with the strong alcoholic/phenol smell, but the sweetness of it takes care of the bite after that. Very good dubbel, but too sweet to enjoy more than one at a time.
