Shared 500ml bottle.
Boozy aroma and flavor suggests a higher ABV than the 8.8% listed. Bourbon is obvious but not overpowering.
Moderately sweet with a bitter aftertaste.

A fantastic variation of their staple coconut porter. This beer has bourbon, chocolate and vanilla tones with a wonderful coconut finish. This one takes their coconut porter to another level. You need to try this! You won't be sorry!

Bottled 8/28/17, bottle 206 of 650. Poured into tulip.
Pours thin looking, medium brown with very light tan head. Small and disappointing
The nose shines. Chocolate coconut cream pie. Vanilla too
Wow. Rich chocolate, then figs, then roasted coconut. Bourbon appears at the end. The finishing note is all coconut. It does not overpower. It just hangs on and lasts. Nothing boozy or hot.
I love that it’s “only” 8.9%. Good drinkability that won’t knock me on my butt. Mouthfeel is a little thin but the complexity of flavors makes up for it. It’s a well done beer.
