Pours a dark tan with thin, quickly dissipating head. Smell is smoked peat and with iodine and bandaids. I'm surprised by the amount of peat I'm smelling as Macallan isn't overly peaty. Taste is dark fruits, peat, leather, tobacco, and Islay scotch. I pulled out my Macallan 18 year to compare. Macallan is definitely less peat-forward and more caramel. I'm wondering if these barrels were used with another scotch first. Mouthfeel is thin, but the heavy flavors linger on the tongue. Overall, despite not getting much Macallan out of this beer, it's still enjoyable as a Scotch enthusiast.

This one pours a nice chocolately looking brown, with a small head, and no lacing.
This smells, quite understandably, like scotch- peaty and smokey, with lots of tobacco, some raisin, leather, and oak.
i guess this was aged in wet Macallan casks, so the scotch flavor comes through incredibly strongly. It is still well integrated, though, and doesn't introduce a ton of booziness to the flavor, just deep briney smoke, tobacco, leather, with brown sugar, caramel and raisins as part of the base.
This is medium bodied, a little bit creamy, with a good level of carbonation.
This is a fun beer that clearly a lot of care went into creating. Nice stuff here.
