Pours a murky mahogany brown with a tan head that is gone faster than Deion Sanders ran the 40-yard dash. I picture old ales a little less murky than this - it looks like pond water.
The nose has a lotta booze up front, and there’s an apple aroma, but the star is the molasses and toffee notes. This bodes well for the taste.
There’s some booze on the taste, but the molasses and toffee whip the booze’s buttocks into submission, which clears the way for the apple flavor, which balances the booze and sweetness with a bit of tart that works exceptionally well.

On tap at the brewery taproom.Boozy apple brandy flavors give this a hint of apple moonshine. Dark reddish brown body with an excellent head, especially for style. Sweet aroma features brandy apples and currants. Complex flavor adds some smoke, wood and vanilla. Near medium body with light heat.
