Received as an extra in a trade and shared with JLindros. Bottle # 231/1000. Bottled 9/26/16.
A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a rather hazy murky garnet with a thin blanket that fades to leave a thin wispy blanket.
S - Aromas of big sweet fruity port notes with very rich earthy agave green vegetable thing going on. Light light amber notes.
T - Taste is similar to the nose with nice lightly sweet fruity port, good earthy agave. Excellent barrel notes here with loads of bitter hops on the finish. The hops completely cut through and over power the rest of the beer.
M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated with a a decent body. Little thin though. Alcohol hidden well.
O - Overall this was a very interesting beer with awesome barrel notes. Really impressive.

Thanks to rudzud, bottle 9/26/16
Nice fluffy creamy thick 1/2 finger head, decent lacing and retention, super murky chestnut brown color
Nose very nice actually, tons of barrel, fruity port wine, toasted oak, little green vegetal tequila, big sweet caramel red ale, little roasty like roasted agave, little nougat, hint peppery late and little buttery oak, faint phenol note
Taste sweet caramel reddish malt out front, sweet candy, toasted note, big toasted oak and little buttery oak, little sweet port wine, fruity, mild vegetal green tequila barrel again, little alcohol note, big spicy hop and bitterness, little spicy rye and chewy nougat caramel, mild sticky finish
Mouth is med to fuller bod, little chewy, decent carb
Overall not bad, great barrel notes, decent base beer, hops get a little too bitter and spicy, otherwise great
