Appearance: Murky-looking, medium brown, russet-toned body. Slim, ivory head.
Smell: Cinnamon a bit forward in the nose along with a flush of whiskey alcohol. Slow-cooked brown sugar, day-old toasted loaf, bloomed spices and a range of dark fruitiness.
Taste: Sweet and spiced flavor reminiscent of Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Varied, vibrant fruitiness from dates to raisins to figs. Some woodsy, earthy barrel tones with moderate whiskey. A light, late-breaking tanginess on the sweet-spicy, warming finish.
Mouthfeel: Full-bodied. Relatively lightly carbonated.
Overall: Better than expected.
