22oz bomber into a tulip glass.
A- I like a black color beer and this delivers the look. Black, dark, opaque. The dark tan head, 1f, fades fast to a minimal film and leaves some spot and steak lacing.
S-Lots of roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee. It avoids the mineral aroma of some porters.
T- The roast malts are strong, bitter, even. Coffee and dark chocolate flavors, and mild hops round it out nicely. Flavor and aroma both grew as the liquid warmed.
M- Medium body and carbonation, just shy of full body but quite good for a porter. Dry bitter finish. No mineral or phony smoke flavor/feel.
O- This porter shines as a truly crafted brew.
