22oz bottle in a nonic pint glass.
A- Pours a near black chocolate brown color with a slow grow 1f head, light brown color. The head settles to a heavy film and leaves lots of fat sticky lacing.
S- Caramelized dark fruits, butterscotch, chocolate. Hop aroma is minimal, earthy. Alcohol shows as it warms.
T- Intense citrus hop flavor over sweet buttery malts. Again, the roasted malts are like they were caramelized. Some chocolate and dark fruit. Very bold.
F- Lots of full body and feel. Some sweet alcohol but it finishes dry. Sharp, no bitterness. Creamy.
O- A tasty and drinkable sweet booze bomb. The hops and 93ibu keep the sugar at bay.

The nose holds a lot of purple grape aroma with added dark fruits, raisins, chocolate malt and some coffee.
The flavor is strangely different as it starts with a dry coffee, light maltiness, some dark fruits and then a finish of citrusy lime.
This is a very good beer but the sudden appearance of lime in the finish of a Black Ale was odd.
