Here's another easygoing brewpub in Alaska. Only six "homemade" brews but they also have five guest taps. The limited beer selection is matched by the limited, but very good, menu.

My biggest complaint is no wifi, which is supposedly lousy even if it was offered. The server was friendly but not particularly knowledgeable.

This seems to be a popular local hangout. Unlike most of the dive bars in the area, this place is informally nice. If you are a tourist, this is really the only beer bar to go to.

Located right downtown in Seward, a decent hike from where the cruise ships are docked. The vibe is that of a modern sea town bar with ample seating along the side of the building. Service was prompt and friendly. They had five house beers on taps and about four guest taps from other Alaskan breweries. The beers were traditional styles and ranged from ok to good. Nothing mid blowing, but a lot more winners than not. Easily the best part of Seward Brewing is the food. Limited menu, but awesome tasting. Everything I tasted was beyond amazing. My wife had a burger and the kids had mac and cheese that was super tasty. I had the halibut curry which is right up there with the best food I have ever had at any brewpub. So much flavor...Still smiling thinking about the dish. Bottom line is that if I am ever in Seward I will be back for the food....the beer certainly also adds to the enjoyment.

The ambience, service, beer and food are all fine -- but nothing really exceptional, and like many of Alaska's tourist spots, way overpriced. The wife spent $25 or so on a bowl of chowder, and I tried several beers without being impressed by any.

Cool decor with metal fish sculptures. Nice selection of regional beer. We had a bottle from Broken Tooth of Streaking the Quad mark out. The king crab was delicious.

Stopped in here for dinner after visiting Exit Glacier. Nice looking place with a modern/sea faring feel to it. You walk in and the brewing equipment is in a small room to the left with the hostess right in front. Towards the back you find the bar off to the left and seating. Looked like there may be more seating upstairs or a banquet hall? Never checked.

Ordered some beers and appetizers right away. The beer sucked, Tried the inkout stout, a lazy otter lager, pin bone IPA, and rockfish red ale. Not a good one in the bunch. Tasted like bad homebrew, was hazy and poured with no head.

Fortunately the food was a little better, nothing to write home about about, but I feel like we all came away satisfied. Wasn't a big fan of the auto gratuity. Apparently it is standard on parties over 8, but we had 5 adults and 3 kids (under 5), and the 2 families had separate checks. I was happy with our waitress so not a real big deal, just seemed cheesy.

Seward Brewing Company is in a great location, right by the waterfront and only steps away from the Alaska Sealife Center. It has that nouveau brewpub feel when you walk inside--lots of wood, high ceilings, giant halibut on the wall by the bar. We went there late on a Thursday afternoon when we needed a break from walking around town.

We only had a limited amount of time so my wife & I only had one beer each. I drank the Lazy Otter Lager, which was surprisingly full-bodied and richer than expected. My wife had the Inked Out Stout, which had a good chocolate/coffee aroma and flavor but seemed a little thin for a stout. They had several taps of other Alaska beers along with the Glacier Brewhouse root beer. The root beer, while it was non-alcoholic, was excellent.

Service from the bartender was fine. Prices seemed reasonable for Seward. For food we split the hangover homies. They were the perfect snack to go along with our beers...'nuff said.
