A pretty garnet color. Minimal head.
Sweet caramel aroma.
Caramel and toffee taste.
Very sweet. If you like that, then this is your beer. If not, go try a different scotch ale.

Poured from a can, brewed in South Burlington VT location.
Ivory colored head, deep ruby color in the glass, appealing. Sweet caramel aromas, with subtle toasty notes. Regarding taste, my first reaction was "sweetness"- a little too much for me, but still acceptable for the style. Caramelly, malty sweetness which dominates (more than other Wee-heavys I've had). Subtle toasty flavors. Definite warming sensation which lingers at the back of the throat. The experience improved as it warmed and the carbonation softened. Nice Scotch Ale.

Honey brown slightly cloudy with an evanescent white head.
Toasted malts, caramel.
Initial flavors of dark caramel and malt. The carbonation kicks in with some added complexity and smoothness. Final notes of toasted grains and coffee. The 37 IBU is only there in the final,
Quite easy to swallow. You have to drink it slowly to get the most of this and drink it above fridge temp. The ABV is well hidden. Nice if you like the style.
I would buy again if price is right ( I paid $ 2.50 per pint when purchased with 3 other beers from Farnham )

Bottle: Poured a light clear copper color ale with a nice large foamy head with good retention and some light lacing. Aroma of grainy notes with light residual sugar notes is pretty tame for the style. Taste is dominated by grainy cereal notes with no clear notes of caramel or toffee and light dry finish with almost no residual sugar notes. Body is really thin for the style with good carbonation. I usually like the product from this brewery but this one was a real letdown. Drainpour.
