Beautiful dark red color. Nice head. Mouthfeel a teeny bit thin for a malt forward 6.2 ABV brew. Nice hop follow-up at the end. A great choice for a summertime break, on the malty side of swilling, from ‘typical’ warm weather beers. (p.s. I use “swilling” as a desirable term…not a pejorative).

Pint from Westside Taphouse in West Salem OR.
$6.00.
Lovely looking beer. Darker amber with a nice beige head.
Nice malty/caramel aromas. Some floral hops.
Taste very similar to the aroma .some classic English hopping? I wonder.
Mouth feel medium all round.
A good but not great beer.

Had on tap. Opaque red body, tan head, good rings of lacing, crown like. Earthy hops with hints of pine dance atop a body of malt and crusty bread. Taste is sweeter as it integrates more malt tons of toffee especially, pine is cut, earthy hops have a satisfying finish though. Carbonation is a touch high, good balance of malt and hop for the style, lightly chewy, could have just a little more depth to draw the drinker in over a pint. Good debut

Note: 16 oz. can @ 6.2% ABV
Look: Clear ruby red with an off-white head that erupts quickly to the brim of the glass and slowly settles, leaving great lacing behind
Aroma: Freshly baked bread, earthy hops, toffee, some pine notes, and light fruity esters
Taste: Toffee, bread, and earthy and conifer-led hops all crash the scene at once and intermingle quite nicely. Light fruitiness joins in and bready malt holds through the middle with toffee in the mix as well. A nice piney hop bite seals the deal
Mouthfeel: Full, medium-high carbonation, and a little sharpness and dryness on the finish
Overall: I dig it. A well-balanced – a little hoppy, a little malty – red and the mouthfeel is what I enjoy the most about this as it is spot-on for what want in the style. My only knock is the very faint nose it has (though that could be me) but still very solid, tasty, and enjoyable
