On tap at Growler Nation yesterday.
The beer pours a fairly dark brown color with good head retention and lacing. On the nose, there's a lot going on, as I picked up plum, dark cherry, grape jelly, some chocolate and a hint of root beer and vanilla. The flavor profile replicates the nose in this well crafted beer, though I did wish the sweetness had been dialed back a bit. Still, this beer delivers a lot flavor, in a smooth, soft, almost creamy package. Mouthfeel is fairly full otherwise, and the alcohol is well integrated into the flavor profile.
Excellent beer. The sweetness started to wear on me a bit as I went along in my 10 ounce glass, but otherwise, this is a delicious beer from the folks at Claim 52.
