Poured into a nonic pint glass, the appearance was a ruddy burnt dark orange almost amber color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that hung for a little bit and died off at a moderate pace. Light stringy lace. The aroma had a nice blend of floral hops, herbal qualities, some toast, dark bread, nuts - somewhat roasty with a touch of leather and earthiness at the end. The flavor was malty dryness, some sweetness in there, but not too much. Some cereal/grain roastiness came out and the herbal qualities seemed a bit stronger here. Aftertaste had the cereal, dark bread, and nuts. Finish was the same. The palate was just a touch under medium bodied with a pretty good sessionability about it. Carbonation felt light. ABV felt good and appropriate. Overall, pretty nice enough beer to have again, and mostly on par for the style.

I had this on tap at the brewpub served chilled in a glass.
The color is dark amber bordering on bronze with copper hue and medium beige head with average sized bead that drops rapidly. The smell has a very malt forward expression with dark caramel and toasted bready aroma with nice light fruit ester with mild woody scent. The feel is decent with deep malt body and moderately carbonated with light sweetness with toasted texture and dry finish.
The taste is very good with toast in the taste and mild caramel sweetness...it is not the type of red that is hopped to the level of red IPA, but light bready yeast and expressive toffee with subtle roast notes in the malt give color as well as a subtle dry element in the finish. Overall a good red with enough hops to balance and this is easy to savor
