Poured into a Tree House glass a very nice translucent copper color, with some very nice carbonation, with also a very nice thick/creamy one-finger plus light tan head, with a very nice medium size island, which also leaves some very nice thick/creamy sticky lacing behind. The nose is malty, hoppy, with a pretty nice dark fruit complex (raisins, grapes, dates, figs, plums, cherries), with a very nice rye whiskey note, vanilla, kinda oaky. The taste is very nice, malty, hoppy, with a very nice dark fruit complex (figs, plums, grapes, raisins, dates, cherries), with a pretty awesome rye whiskey note, dry, oaky, nice little vanilla sweetness. Full Body, ABV is hidden very nicely, with a nice dry/bitter finish. Overall, this is a very tasty brew, surprised the shit out of me.
