Lovely dark brown-black, with some residual translucence, but not much, a thin tan head, and some lacing. The nose was quiet, roasted malt and hints of dark coffee beans. Taste is decent, but not very deep, but the roast malt continues. Feel was clean, and the beer is highly drinkable. This is a very well executed example of the type.
