Wow, this is a really good domestic quad. The barrel notes are a light smattering of spirits so the base beer dominates. Lots of warm, sugary plums and raisins throughout. I also got lighter notes of candied nuts, toffee, and vanilla.

This is a dark pouring beer, almost black. There's a 1 finger tan head that forms, but dissipates quickly, and leaves no lacing on the glass.
The nose is pretty much dark fruit - plum and raisin.
The taste is quite complex. There's dark fruit - plum and raisin that hits hard first. In that mix, and more on the backside, caramel and toffee. I also get a hint of the malts that comes off as a biscuit flavor.
The body is thick, full, and quite boozy feeling, even though it's "only" 10%.
This is delicious, and impressive.

Cola brown semi-opaque pour with a thick khaki cap and spotted lacing. Aromas of molasses, brown sugar and oak meet dark fruit, belgian yeast, caramel, and a kiss of vanilla, with a huge boozy backing that creeps into the complexity a bit. Taste fixed this small issue in the nose with the booze being omnipresent but the other wonderful flavors from the nose star more, dark fruit especially emerges with brown sugar. A sweeter quad, slightly thinner, barrel present lightly, malt work carries the load. The wife loved it

From a 12oz can, courtesy of daughter Caitlin....

It pours a very dark, nearly opaque chestnut color. Has a creamy, tan head which ebbs rapidly to a fine, thin layer. Didn't leave much lacing behind, though. Aroma is of caramelized brown sugar, toffee, dark fruit and light bourbon. Body is a near-chewy medium-plus, and it is silky smooth going down.

Taste is rich with caramel/toffee malt sweetness and dark fruit, like raisins, dates and currants. Has more brown sugar notes, vanilla, some oak and then bourbon. Warming and tasty! Cheers!

Poured at 53 degrees; deep amber/ruby brown with excellent clarity; thin fizzy khaki head leaves very little cap retention, a small island of micro dots; thin ring; dots of lace on agitation; no legs. Nose is caramel malt and bourbon; fruity esters; dried cherries. Sweet caramel candy up front, bourbon right behind; figs and dusty dried dates; oak and vanilla middle; light spicy black pepper; caramel finish. Creamy feel; medium body; face flushing warmth from 10% abv; moderate minus carbonation. Overall quite good; the bourbon barrel notes compliment the sweet and fruity flavors; lovely well balanced layers from malt, yeast and barrel; a very good riff on a classic style; I enjoyed and will gladly drink again.

12oz can into a tulip. Canned 10/30/20, so 2 months old.

Looks excellent in the glass. Black body but clear burgundy when held up to the light. Small off white head persists in decent form throughout leaving nice lacing.

Aroma of boiled candy.

On tasting, warm, sweet, boozy, but nicely balanced. Rolls around the tongue beautifully.

Mouth closer to full than medium, finish sweet and warm.

Overall, delightful sipper in front of a roaring fire on a cold winter's night.

12oz canned 10/30/20 ( about 6 weeks ago) poured into a snifter at just above fridge temp 10% ABV 28 IBU per can label. Now labeled as Bourbon Barrel Qualified. The beer pours somewhat dense, darker brown with a little light penetration revealing chestnut highlights. The head rises to a couple inches on a hard pour then settles to a thin ring and single layer of tiny bubbles. Minimal lacing. The aroma is mild with bourbon and barrel leading the way. Minimal notes of vanilla, candi sugar and dark fruits. The taste is semisweet caramel with accents of bourbon, oak, dark fruit and vanilla. Minimal bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation and a drying (the barrel definitely offsets the malt here) finish. No hint of the ABV in the taste or aroma. Overall, very good. I feel like this beer is more bourbon barrel beer than quadruple, like 65/35, where I feel 50/50 is perfect. I will have no problem drinking or trading the remaining three.

Note: This beer gets even better at room temperature. The barrel blends in better and the toffee & dark fruits become more pronounced.
