Poured into a Taxman tulip glass. Pour is about 1" of white head, and very carbonated. Beer color is like a hazy orange soda. Head dissipates quickly however down to a faint line in a matter of a minute. Smell is wheat, yeast, and clove mostly but no cherry detected at all which is surprising. Taste is where the cherry comes in, almost like a very faint sour cherry taste. The wheat/yeast is mostly prominent in the taste though. Beer is evenly blended, and the combination of the sour cherry plus the wheat combine for a slightly bitter taste that finishes with little aftertaste. This beer seems to be refreshing too.
I usually like the Taxman offerings, but this one is a little too bitter for me to really like. It was an easy drinker however, and was priced right, so it can be a sessionable summer-time ale.

From a 12 oz. can into a weizen glass, this beer pours out like a hazy cherry lemonade. Pinkish color with lemon highlights. It forms a finger of light pink crown.
The nose shows you that it’s definitely a wheat beer. A lot of crisp wheat, banana and clove. No cherry detected for me.
The taste brings a more grainy type wheat aspect more than the banana and clove. It does have a kiss of cherry. The cherry comes off as a bit medicinal at times.
Dry mouthfeel, lighter body.
Overall, this is sitting on a nice base. I don’t think they shouldn’t added the cherry, myself.

A Belgian-style witbier with cherries and spices. Faint pie notes on the nose of the cloudy, pinkish-purple pour. A slight tang and crispness that you want in a witbier, but the flavors themselves are a bit muted and, on the whole, dominated by the fruit addition.
