Hidden away in the barrel cache of the Taxman Reserve cellar, our barrel-fermented golden blonde ale lies in wait, collecting fruit as it comes into season. A combination of bacteria, wild yeast and time produced a bright, dry and tart ale, ripe for blending. Bursting with zesty mango and flowery hibiscus, this crimson sour ale is one to store away or enjoy today.

Pours the color of apricot skin and/ or flesh with a white head that dissipates relatively quickly.
On the nose is overripe apricot, peach and light aromatic spices.
The pallet is the same select fleshy stonefruit with less peach and more apricot. Additionally the sourness come through causing light and pleasant cheek puckering that complements the fruitiness.
The feel is pleasant and what should be expected from a sour. Hits a great balance.
Great beer probably for any season but especially warmer months.
Beer was aged ~2years from bottling date

Clear, golden body; vibrant carbonation; thick, sudsy, white head. Mild horse blanket funk on the nose infused with sweet apricot; nice sheets of foam hang down the glass. Sour, fruity taste; mandarin orange and yellow pitted fruit; lemony. Medium-heavy body; fizzy; slight stickiness; biting tartness; very soft and feathery feel to the head.
Overall, a very nice sour ale. It's long lasting and thick head is especially impressive for the style. The taste is absolutely phenomenal, too -- fruity and tart yet nicely balanced and complex.

Dark orange, translucent but quite hazy. Minimal white head. Nose of lactic acidity, with apricot highlights, Flavor follows nose, but with apricot forward. Sharp acidity. A nice bright sour.

Nice blond sour ale with apricot. Barrel fermented. Sour but not overwhelmingly so. Nice malt backbone. Overall quite nice.
