12oz can from Tavour. Amber pour, silky off-white head. Savory spice aroma, cardamom, nutmeg. Taste is caramel with a savory edge, chai spice. Sweetness, brown sugar, touch of Belgian yeast. Smooth.

I went into this beer with high hopes for how it would be and on the nose met my expectations but then was let down by how it tasted overall where the chai spices were not nearly as present on the pallet. The bitterness of the pale ale base overtook the added spices and I wish there were more spices to counter that.

12 oz can, dated 3/31/20, into Boiler red logo snifter.
Has an amber-orange glow with a creamy cap of 2 fingers, receding to a thick ring and leaving sheets of lacing on the glass.
Floral aroma with some lavender, clove, chamomile, chai, honey, wax, and toasted grain.
Flavor brings what I'd call bitter vanilla, with shades of pumpkin and nutmeg, grass, some chamomile tea, and floral honey.
Feel is creamy and carbonated, no alcohol heat for 6%, and ends crisp with slight lingering resins.
Overall an okay beer but nothing I'd be inclined to return to.

Appearance - The beer poured a golden orange color with white bubbles crowning the glass.
Smell - The Belgian notes work well with the chai to create a pleasant aroma.
Taste - I was a little surprised. The Belgian notes worked well with the chai. The yeast was not overpowering, so there was a nice sense of balance. The chai notes lingered nicely.
Mouthfeel - The Belgian yeast allowed the spice to cling to the tongue.
Overall - Despite the poor marks from others, I enjoyed this one.

12oz canned 08/31/20 (3 weeks ago) poured into a snifter at fridge temp 6% ABV 20 IBU. The beer pours opaque honey amber in color with very light khaki head. The head recedes to a thin cap and leaves a wall of lacing on the glass. The aroma is mild with the Chai tea most prominent. Lesser notes of Belgian yeast, spice and vanilla. The taste is semisweet spiced vanilla chai tea right up front with the pale malt coming through in the middle before a mildly spiced, mildly bitter finish. The mouthfeel is medium to thin bodied with average carbonation and a dry finish. Overall, good. There's a delicate balance here of sweet and spice that is very well done. If you enjoy lightly sweetened chai tea, I suspect you will enjoy this beer.
