Canned 12/12/25; poured at 55.6°; dark ruby/brown body with very good clarity; fizzy tan head With poor retention; thin ring; no lace. Strong roast coffee nose. Taste is chocolate, coffee, bourbon; some caramel; vanilla as liquid warms. Medium light body, light carbonation; a little warmth from 10% ABV. Overall, not getting any Belgian style flavors, nevertheless, a tasty brown ale with layers of flavors.

12 ounce can into a tulip snifter. Canned 11/23/22, had 4/2/23.
Pours a semi opaque dark brown, with a half inch creamy foam head and light foamy cling. Aromas of coffee, malt, vanilla, cocoa, light oak, faint bourbon. Flavors of coffee, malt, cocoa, vanilla, light Belgian yeast, some bourbon as it warms. Smooth, a good lighter medium body, appropriately carbonated.
All the add- ins show well and the flavor is good, but except for maybe the coffee, this could use a bit more intensity. Light barrels, light flavors, light feel. Good, and certainly worth a try, but not one I’m likely to return to.

A - Pours a dark brown color but when held to the light, it's a dark raisin color with nice clarity. Lacing is a light tan and thin on the density.
S - Toasted malt with coffee, Bourbon, vanilla, and a slight bit of earthiness.
T - Toasted malt base buried well below the surface with the coffee, vanilla, and Bourbon taking the front seat from start to finish. Toasted malt base, coffee, and vanilla linger on the back side.
M - Full bodied with gentle carbonation that subsides to a soft finish. Bone dry on the back of the tongue while the rest of the mouth waters.
O - The ABV is really well hidden and the flavors all blend very well. Worth checking out.

Maybe some hints of brown are in this pitch black pour with a tan head. They did it, really they did it. It is the same as the base beer, with the great balance of spices, coffee, brown sugar, and the malt flavors but now the bourbon as been added seamlessly. Feel is warmer but other notes still allowed to shine. I might lean slightly the original but it is neck and neck. Well made winter change up

12oz can from Tavour. Clear, dark brown pour with a layer of silky beige head. Coffee is first in the aroma. Taste balances the coffee with chocolate and a hint of vanilla, weak yeasty flavors. Light bourbon barrel notes creep in along with some residual warmth. Solid brown ale

Great coffee and bourbon ale, reminiscent of a lighter Bourbon County Coffee.

12oz canned 10/19/21 (26 day ago) poured into a snifter at 48° F 10% ABV 32 IBU. The beer pours very dark brown with no light penetration and mocha colored head. The head recedes to a thin ring and a few tiny bubbles. The aroma is moderate in strength featuring cold brew coffee, vanilla cocoa and a hint of barrel. The taste is bittersweet dark malt, big coffee, vanilla, cocoa and a hint of barrel & char. Moderate bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation and a mostly dry finish. Overall, very good. Very limited alcohol presence for 10%. Can says Belgian style brown, but I don't get any notes of Belgian yeast. I'm guessing second use barrels as the bourbon influence is minimal, but pleasant with the coffee.
