12 ounce can into a tulip glass. Canned 8/15/22, had 10/16/22.
Pours a reddish amber, semi opaque, with a one and a half inch creamy foam head with good retention and a good amount of foamy lacing. Aromas of Amburana, cinnamon, malt, light maple, wood, other spices. Flavors of Amburana, cinnamon, malt, some wood, other spices. Has a light honey sweetness. Smooth, a good lighter medium body, well carbonated.
The Amburana stars, and it was nice to try it in something other than a stout. A good base with good aromas and flavors. A fun one to drink. Worth a purchase.

Murky brown appearance with a tan finger of foam. Smell and taste are the same: big citrus and honey with floral tones accenting, plus supporting wood root, caramel, cinnamon, amburana, and a touch of molasses. Almost like a higher end drink you would make in college with booze and lots going on, especially sweetness, but no burn here thankfully. Feel is thick and malty for style, more like a strong ale than BDG. A truly unique beer

12oz can from Tavour. Dark amber pour, spotty head. Sweet aroma, honey, cinnamon, rum. Taste brings oodles of savory notes from the amburana, honey, caramel, cinnamon. Really luscious, creamy. Unexpected pleasure.

Dark mahogany red body; dense carbonation; thick, frothy head. Huge, fragrant aroma; cinnamon and ginger with orange; mild sense of maple syrup. The taste follows the nose; sweet and spicy; Xmas cookies; french toast; mild bitterness. Heavy body; smooth and velvety; earthy sweetness overall with a pleasant hint of alcohol dryness for balance.
This is an incredible beer, spicy and boozy and well-balanced.
Pouring temperature: 58 °F; canning info: CANNED ON 08/15/22

12oz canned 08/15/22 poured into a snifter at fridge temp 8.5% ABV 21 IBU per can label. The beer pours opaque dark amber with mahogany highlights and khaki colored head. The head recedes to a thin ring and single layer of bubbles. Clinging lacing is left behind after each sip. The aroma is mild with cinnamon and amburana wood accenting sweet malt. The taste is semisweet toasted malt with more of the amburana and maple wood aging apparent. Cinnamon and honey present. The finish offers minimal bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with less than average carbonation and a semi dry finish. The wood aging and spice is the perfect counterbalance to the sweetness of this beer. Overall, very, very good style defying beer.
