Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown with little light transmission in the glass and a half finger khaki head that dissipates to patches with light lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, vanilla, smoke, light plum and cocoa.Flavor is dark toasted malt, peaty smoke, Scotch, vanilla, Belgian yeast, a little caramel and cocoa. Medium bodied with moderate creaminess. Can't remember tasting anything like this before. Like the other Deadlines, this has a good, lightly fruity Belgian yeast and flavorful dark stout body. The peaty Scotch is excellent and give a unique flavor profile. This combines a bunch of favorite beer and liquor adjunct components that I wouldn't guessed would work well together, but I'm a fan. Lost of flavor to parse out. A bit heavier mouth feel than the last one I had. Nicely done; hope I see this again. Not for the Scotch averse.

Triple tasting of Deadline variants. Dark brown pour, ring of beige head. Potent smoky aroma hits hard, smoked meats, chocolate. Taste is smoky, though not as strong as the taste, faint vanilla flavors after. This one is all about the smoke.

Deep, rich mahogany color at the pour; nearly opaque dark brown and red hues in the glass; one-finger thick foam cap; densely spongy; long-lasting. Alluring nose; dense sweetness, almost maple syrup-like; dry oak and vanilla; tobacco. Incredible medley of flavors; maple syrup, decent sense of smokiness; vanilla and cinnamon, peat; tobacco juice; vague suggestions of dates and figs; whisky. Heavy mouthfeel; dense and chewy; fairly bold alcohol heat.
What an amazing barrel aged beer! Compared to last year's Deadline - Vanilla Maple, this was takes things to another level. The richness and complexity of the taste is mind-blowing. A beer best experienced to understand the true delight that it brings to the palate.
ABV: 13.8%; pouring temperature: 54.3 °F; canning info: Released 4.26.25
