Hallertau hops create a floral aroma w/a sweet, full flavored body & a touch of breadiness.

At the brewery.
It was bit lacking in taste, almost stale.

Was my favorite when I started coming to this brewery. I still enjoy it every once in awhile, but it has a different taste.

A: Pours an attractive, slightly cloudy golden orange with a thin white head that recedes very quickly.
S: Faint aromas of honey, cream, straw, grass, and minerals are just barely detectable on the nose.
T: Mild notes of honey, cream, biscuit, straw, minerals, lemon rind, grass, and herbs are very quickly subsumed by an overwhelming booziness that seems completely out of place in a beer of this type. The finish is prickly, with a lingering booziness that distracts from the pleasant, if unobtrusive honey, straw, mineral, and grass notes. In terms of taste, this ale does not really taste bad, but there is an abrasiveness here that is more than a bit out of place.
M: Relatively light in terms of body and somewhat dry, this ale displays a fierce, highly active carbonation that only amplifies the awkward booziness. With regard to texture, this ale is a typical American blonde ale, but again, there is something out of whack here.
O: I am grading more than a bit compassionately in this instance because there are characteristics present in this ale that, with some refinement, could lead this brewery to produce a legitimately could American blonde ale. Unfortunately, this beer is too boozy and too prickly as is. All in all, this shows some potential, but it is not quite there yet.
