From the growler via the brewery in a snifter. This nice little
brown ale pours a dark muddled brown with cola highlights
and a nice head of off white big bubbled foam that subsides
to a thick ring, thin light pool, and displays some nice soapy
lacing. Nose of vanilla, toasted malts, breaded malts, subtle
coffee, and subtle chocolate. Flavors lightly exceed the nose
with a vanilla and cola note on the front, mild coffee and a
subtly bitter chocolate flavor that comes into the middle of
the taste that is rounded out by a breaded malt and mild
cinnamon note with subtle herbal notes. Nice mouth feel;
medium body, medium light carbonation, and a roasted finish.
Overall, a nice brew from a good brewery.
Cheers

Chill haze brown-red with almost no head except for a thin tan ring.
Smell is coffee, toast, light roast and vanilla.
Taste is toasty almond bread with caramel, brown sugar, cocoa, tangy root and bitter dry coffee. Cinnamon raisin comes out more as it warms.
Smooth and round with a medium yet hefty body that has a thin, semi-dry mild carbonation.
