Bolt 45 is brewed with the choicest barley, super flaky rice, and the lageriest yeast, then cold conditioned for 45 days. It’s technically Malt Liquor but so is all beer above 5% ABV. Best paired with two Zig Zags, your favorite paper bag, orange juice, and a front porch.

Poured from a 16oz can
On the pour, a 2 finger mostly white head formed with some domage.it became rocky and slowly receded. Carbonation is fine and plentiful and the body is a solid gold.
Aroma is bright with a touch of hops, and some light rice and corn above a clean but present lager fermentation character. No fusels or esters, it just comes of as dry and a bit citric.
Taste has a bit of that light strong lager character, but that may just be alcohol poking through then a lightly corny light barley comes through for a nice crackery lightly sweet and smooth finish.
I can put this down. It's verging on dangerous, and definitely moreso than any other "malt liquor" since comparatively it's so smooth and hides its alcohol, since there are no rough fusels.
Overall this is pretty dang good, especially for a strong pale lighter lager. Drinkable and refreshing while staying clean and having nice quality flavors. It's honestly a bit hard to believe this is 6.5% abv.
