Pours an opaque, sand-storm yellow, with maelstroms of yeast, and countless tiny bubbles shooting to the top. A massive, towering head rises up, and continues to build until it collapses on itself, with a small puck of dense foam left, and endless carbonation rushing up behind it. Not a gusher, not a bad bottle, not out of control, but certainly aggressive. A little too wild, but piques my interest.
Aroma is of wheaty banana (almost like a hefe yeast was used), dried orange peel, and some caramel malt. Not bad, but not interesting, either. Somewhat sweet.
Taste brings with it more sweetness, with a full malt profile, and distinct plantain flavors. There is a slight chalkiness, which might be due to the yeast.
Mouthfeel, as you might imagine, is very full, and somewhat over the top. It does, however, provide a drier finish to the beer.
Overall, not bad. Tone down the carbonation, and dry out the attenuation, and there's something here.
